North Hotels Sector

The image below shows an aerial view of the North Hotels Sector in Brasília. For a broader view, check out this aerial map of Brasília.

North Hotels SectorThe Hotel Sector is the area within the white circle.
Notice that, despite the name North, the sector is located in the central area of Brasília. Check out this map of the Hotel Sectors and this other one of the Sourthern Hotel Sector.

Just like the southern sector, the northern hotels sector has a selection of small and large hotels, to serve people with different economic possibilities. Take a look at this selection of hotels in Brasilia.

Because of the central location, the sector is near Three Powers Square (about 5 km), the central bus station (about 500 meters), and the Television Tower (between 1 and 2 km, depending on the hotel).

The sector is also surrounded by some of the largest shopping centers of Brasília.
The large rectangle at the right hand side of the image is the Conjunto Nacional de Brasília, the oldest shopping center in town. Notice that the misleading official name of the Conjunto Nacional is Northern Fun Sector, but there is no other attractions other than the shopping itself.
Another option is Brasília Shopping, a modern center right to the north of the sector (and to the west of the W3 highway, see below).

The dashed yellow line is the W3, one of the most important highways in Brasília. The W3 cuts the Pilot Plan from south to north, in parallel with the Eixão. However, while the Eixão is a high speed expressway used by drivers to get across the city, the W3 is lined with residential and commercial blocks, and is used by people driving short distances.

The W3 is also the most important thorougfare for buses in Brasília. Most buses going to and from the central bus station pass along W3, including some lines which connect the hotel sectors to the airport of Brasília.

Update: World Cup in Brasilia.
The National Stadium is located about 2 km West of the Hotels Sector; the North Hotel Sector is closer to the stadium than the South Sector.
Because of a FIFA policy, most vehicles are not allowed to reach within 2 miles of the stadium; this means that the easiest way to go from the hotels to the stadium is by walking.
