The Supreme Court maintains a television channel called TV Justiça; it is possible to watch programmes of TV Justiça online, which often include live or pre-recorded sessions of the Supreme Court.

The Supreme Court (in Portuguese, the term Tribunal is more usual) is the highest instance of the Judiciary Power in Brazil. Its main purpose is to guard the Constitution. There are not Constitutional Courts in the States (even though each State has its own Constitution). The Supreme Court is composed by eleven Justices, appointed by the President of the Republic and approved by the Senators.

STF - Supremo Tribunal Federal Supreme Court of BrazilThe STF is open for guided visitations on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, from 10 am to 4 pm. Tours last about 30 minutes, and include visits to the Sessions Room and three Museums. The website of the STF has a page with a virtual visit to the Court.

The STF is located in the Three Powers Square, the most important spot in Brasília.

The sculpture in front of the Court is called A Justiça (The Justice), a piece by Alfredo Ceschiatti, the same artist who sculpted the angels which hang from the ceiling of the Cathedral of Brasilia.
