»August 2016: as announced in June 2015, Daycoval rebuys shares which were publicly traded in the Bovespa.
»February 2016: Daycoval announces profit of R$ 432 million in 2015.
»June 2015: Daycoval to be delisted from Brazilian Exchanges. "The bank, which provides corporate and banking services, is the latest company to delist from the São Paulo Stock Exchange as a severe market downturn gives controlling shareholders the opportunity to eliminate the cost of having a company listed."
»December 2002: Sarina Dayan was kidnapped; Mrs. Sarina, then aged 68, is wife of Alberto Dayan, Director of Daycoval Bank. Mrs. Dayan was released by the Police, no ramson was paid. According to this site, in 1996 another "young member" of the Dayan family had also been kidnapped, and was released after a ramson was paid.

Daycoval - History and Facts

Daycoval History started in Lebanon, where the Dayan family were already banking.

Sasson Dayan came to Brazil and started Daycoval DTVM, a brokerage house, in 1968.
Mr. Sasson is a Brazilian billionaire; according to this source, in 2014 his fortune was estimated in R$ 1,66 billion, around US$ 650 million.
Mr. Sasson Dayan is a very low profile person; there is vey little information about him available; see his bloomberg page.

According to the Investors Relations page of Daycoval, the Sasson family has prominent presence in the Board of Directors, and Mr. Sasson will be in the President seat until August 2017.
The bank informs that eminent economist Gustavo Franco, ex-President of Central Bank, is an independent counselor of the board.

Opened in 1968, Banco Daycoval specializes in corporate loans for any type of company, personal loans (consumer, payroll-deductible and car loans), foreign exchange products (foreign trade and currency exchange operations) and investments.

It is recognized throughout Brazil for its conservative management profile, and professional and competent business practices.

Banco Daycoval is headquartered on Avenida Paulista, in São Paulo. It has over 200 service outlets in 21 states and the Federal District, 38 corporate credit branches, 43 Daycred offices (dedicated to payroll-deductible loans), 82 Daycoval Câmbio (currency exchange) offices and 37 Daypag offices, which serve document expediters and offer lines of credit to pay traffic fines. The Bank also has partnerships with travel agencies (76 authorized foreign exchange outlets and 252 travel agencies).

Daycoval has a branch in the Cayman Islands, essential for the Bank to raise funds, open commercial lines and establish relationships with correspondent banks. It also has branches to deal with currency exchange, real estate and mortgage and (investments, which sell our products and services online.
